Consultations with GP Registrars

GP Registrar Doctor Training Program

We are approved by the Royal NZ College of GP’s (RNZCGP) as a teaching practice. A trainee GP or “GP Registrar” is a fully qualified doctor with at least 2 years of hospital experience who has chosen to specialise in General Practice. He / she spends about 6 months with us, and you may be asked if you would be happy to see the registrar when requesting an appointment.

These doctor are young and enthusiastic, they are allocated a longer appointment with you at no extra cost. They will offer fresh ideas and perspectives in most cases and will be keen to learn from you. Our practice will have GP Registrars on a regular basis.
