Dr Sarah Wong - Associate GP

I was born in Christchurch, with a Malaysian ethnic background, and spent most of my childhood growing up in Nelson. After attending Otago Medical School and clinical years training in Christchurch, I returned to work in Nelson Hospital as a House Surgeon. For several years I had worked as a GP in a high needs practice in Tauranga before moving home to Nelson.  

I have a strong interest in child health and have spent 18 months working as a registrar in Nelson and Christchurch Hospitals in paediatric medicine. I also enjoy women's health and family medicine. I love the diversity of general practice and the privilege of working alongside and getting to build relationships with patients and their families.  

My husband and I have 3 young children and I thoroughly enjoy spending time at the beach, walks, swimming and other adventures in this gorgeous city.
