Ruth is one of the owner / directors of Harley Street Medical and was the manager prior to handing over most of this role to Marion in 2011.

She is also a NZ Registered Nurse and has academic and tutoring experience within the tertiary sector.

Ruth manages the financial and business aspects of the Practice, and occasionally fills in for the Practice Nurses when times are busy.

Wendy is new to General Practice and has been appointed as our new Practice Manager. Wendy has a strong management background across various sectors of business and until recently was the General Manager of our local cinema. She is enjoying working in the health sector and meeting patients when she occasionally sits on the front desk to welcome you.

Wendy and her partner have a Motor Home which they very much enjoy getting away in to explore the beaches and the lovely environment that the region has to offer. She has two grown up sons and a cat named Smudgee!

Helen has had long involvement in caring roles in the community and has worked in General Practice for more than 15 years.

She has a wonderful way with people and enjoys the variety of contact with our patients. She is a great enthusiast and is always busy with family and keeping fit.

Helen usually works Monday & Tuesday.

Jill Gardiner

Jill joined the administrative team at Harley Street in early 2016. She is new to the medical world having worked in schools for the past 20 years. Her warmth and lovely way with people have transferred well to General Practice.

Jill has three grown daughters and two grandchildren. She plays golf and tennis and has a great way with fashion and colour. Jill works part time-usually three days a week and covers for other staff leave.

Kay has worked in general practice on the West Coast. Her previous background includes working at Greymouth and Southland Hospital Labs as a Laboratory Technician. Kay has a lot of experience in medical reception and admin areas.

Kay really enjoys working with and meeting new people. With her husband Dave she moved to Nelson at the beginning of April and is really enjoying the lifestyle Nelson has to offer, as is their wee dog Bailey!

They enjoy walking, bike riding and exploring the Nelson area. Kay says they love the snow in winter and changing seasons. After living on the West Coast, they didn’t expect to see snow in Nelson!

Jo has a varied work history in office administration, the tertiary sector and the building construction industry.

More recently Jo has worked in tourism & hospitality and prides herself on being very customer focused. She will do her utmost to make you feel welcome and never short of a smile.

The health sector is a new direction for Jo and one she is looking forward to.

Jo is a keen traveler and has traveled extensively. She enjoys getting into the hills whenever possible on bike or foot. Last year I learnt to ski and enjoyed it so much that I’m giving it a go for a few more seasons!

Aria is new to the medical world, she joined the Harley Street Medical administration team in June 2018.  

Aria has just completed her BSc in biology at Victoria University and is currently studying for a Bachelor of Nursing at NMIT. Aria is really looking forward to learning what goes on behind the scenes at a general practice before she starts her career as a registered nurse.

In the little spare time Aria has she enjoys playing netball and walking her two dogs on the beach. Aria will be working at Harley Street Medical on a casual basis.

Mandy moved to Nelson 12 years ago after working and travelling abroad for many years. She has experience in General Practice and enjoys working within the health sector.  
Mandy, with her husband and three children enjoy getting away together ( when their busy lives permit! ) either camping, travelling or just enjoying the beautiful beaches, rivers and parks on our doorstep.
